NEA Philosophy

NEA stands for "Never Ending Alternatives" - because we think out of the box and never stop. NEA Company focuses on a balance between work and life. Our employees work hard and need to play hard too. They are dedicated to NEA and also to having a fulfilling life outside of their employment. You will find Company closed for major holidays - sometimes for the whole holiday week.

NEA Company started in 1995 as a Laundry Service and moved to the products we have now. NEA Company donates 10% of profits to charities such as: Pathways to Spirit , which assists Native Americans of the Great Plains; American Red Cross, continuing to assist those affected by the 2005 Katrina/Rita natural disasters; and eWomen Network Foundation which is the charity arm of eWomen Network that helps women locally (Northern Colorado) and nationally.

NEA Company donates time and resources to charities as well. Not only do we maintain websites for Pathways to Spirit; From 2004 - 2008, NEA donated employees time as well as resources to support Fort Collins Girl Scout Day Camp. In 2008, NEA became involved with Rocky Mountain Youth Sports (RMYS) assisting with their office needs. Our founder and trainer, Dorsi Smith, is also the Executive Director at RMYS.

NEA Company supports recycling efforts, so you might find your products shipped in unusually cardboard boxes from our business or home purchases as well as purchasing recycled papers.

NEA History

NEA Company is located in Fort Collins, Colorado and provides various small business services and products.

NEA Company started as Daisy Laundry Company in Greeley Colorado in 1995. After closing the coin laundry facility and laundry services in 1997, Daisy owners continued to investigate various product and service opportunities (while maintaining our "day jobs" and continuing our family - two more children).

In 2002, the owners changed the name from Daisy to NEA Company (Never Ending Alternatives) since NEA continues to broaden and provide various services and products.

The first product offerings started in June 2002 with the Bottle Leash. After the owners experienced the product at Disney World, they became distributors and established a website for selling to individuals, small businesses and fundraisers for non-profits. We began with a fundraiser at the Taste of Fort Collins for local charity Pathways to Spirit as well as other Northern Colorado venues.

In February of 2003, hand knitted items were included - specifically small dog sweaters and scarfs.

In August of 2003, the Small Business Assistant area was formalized as a full service from NEA Company. Owner Dorsi Smith has been providing these services for years on a part-time basis. Now she is available full-time to help small businesses reach their performance goals.

In September of 2004, NEA added Office Supplies to the menu. While assisting small businesses, NEA found the needs for above average quantities of specific office products. NEA found some products for less than area stores and made them available to clients to decrease their office costs while increasing their productivity.

In January 2006, NEA added webinars for small businesses. Starting with "Surviving Your Office Tasks," "PC 101," "Using Electronic Postage" and "MS Word Basics." These will focus on teaching the small business owner how to better utilize their PC (and related software) as well as other tips to simplify business chores.

In Summer 2006, NEA retired our Bottle Leash and hand-knitted items divisions of NEA Company. We found that our Small Business Assistant and Office Supplies divisions have become the focus of the company. We also suspended the webinars. Although the topics were of great interest, the format (over the internet) was not interactive or hands-on enough for teacher and students.

In May 2007, NEA introduced our "Taming Your Office" workshops with different topics each session. These are held in a training room and in person and are working out much better than the remote webinar format. By August we had two workshops each month focusing on Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office software.

In Fall 2007, Dorsi Smith, our main trainer, has added speaking to her services. She has spoken at several networking events in Northern Colorado.

In May 2008, NEA added workshops for MLM Easy Money software specificaly catering to Arbonne International consultants.

In June 2008, NEA assisted in the creation of non-profit Rocky Mountain Youth Sports (RMYS) which is a club basketball program in Northern Colorado promoting the development of character through team sports. Dorsi Smith, our founder and main trainer, shares her time between NEA and RMYS.
